Infectious Patients Flight
Infectious patient conveyance by road and air.
Individuals who are suspected or confirmed to have an infectious disease or undergoing Aerosol Generating Procedures during transport will be segregated from the surrounding environment using our CAPSULS Patient Isolation Unit (PIU). This patient isolation unit serves as a protective measure, minimising the need for extensive disinfection and decontamination following the transportation of infectious patients with contagious risks.
We are on standby for Europe and The UK.
With 17 HDU ambulances at our ambulance base in Kent, and our Patient Isolation Unit that transfers from our ambulances to the aircraft, we can move patients with infectious disease or known Aerosol Generating Procedure risks for the whole of Europe and the UK. We have specific equipment and protocols to isolate and manage a patient with a contagious condition or suspected contagious condition and risk of infection to others during transport by road or air, the environment and equipment for transport by Ambulance.
All staff are trained on our CAPSULS Patient Isolation Unit Aerosol Generating Procedures AGP Ambulance equipment. We are on call to move a contagious condition or suspected contagious condition patients by road or air across Europe.
