Can You Help Us Bring Them Home? – Support for Urgent Repatriation Cases
At SkyCare, we understand the heartbreak that can come with needing pro bono medical repatriation in the UK. When a loved one is injured or taken ill abroad — and there’s no insurance or clear way home — families often face impossible choices. While we can’t fund every case, we will always listen and explore every possible way to help.
Pro-Bono Repatriation: What’s Possible
SkyCare Repatriation is a private, self-funded medical repatriation provider. We operate with fully trained medical crews and specialist aircraft and ambulances, and each mission carries real costs. While we are not in a position to provide free flights regularly, we may be able to assist in exceptional circumstances — particularly where a children are involved. In some cases, we can refer urgent paediatric cases to recognised charities who may help cover the costs, or partner with us to make a mission possible.
We can’t guarantee a free flight — but we can promise to look at every request with compassion and care.
If You’re Facing a Crisis and Need Help
Even if we can’t offer a fully pro-bono solution, we will always try to advise. Many families have been able to raise the funds needed quickly by turning to their support networks. Here are a few approaches we’ve seen succeed:
- Start a GoFundMe campaign – Crowdfunding platforms are widely used to raise emergency medical transport costs. Tell your story, include photos, and be transparent about the costs involved.
- Share on social media – Ask friends, relatives, neighbours, and local community groups to share your fundraiser. The more people who see it, the more likely it is to gain traction.
- Contact local newspapers or radio – Regional media outlets are often willing to help amplify urgent stories. A short interview or feature can greatly increase visibility.
- Speak to embassies or consulates – In some cases, government agencies can assist or connect you to resources, especially for children or vulnerable individuals.
- Coordinate through a charity – There are specific charities that help with repatriation or emergency health support. We can signpost you to these if appropriate.
