Can You Help Us Bring Them Home? – Support for Urgent Repatriation Cases
At SkyCare, we understand the heartbreak that can come with needing pro bono medical repatriation in the UK. When a loved one is critically ill or injured abroad, and there’s no insurance or clear way home, families are often left facing overwhelming emotional and financial pressure. While we cannot provide free adult repatriation services, we will always listen, advise where we can, and help families explore the most appropriate support options.
Pro-Bono Repatriation: Our Focus
SkyCare Repatriation is a private, self-funded medical repatriation provider specialising in neonatal and paediatric medical transport. We operate with fully trained medical crews, specialist aircraft, and dedicated ambulances, and every mission carries significant operational costs.
Because of this, we are not able to offer free repatriation services for adult patients.
However, in exceptional circumstances involving babies, children, or young people, we may be able to explore charitable partnerships, fundraising support, or referrals to recognised organisations that assist families in crisis. In some cases, we may work alongside charities or supporters to help make a paediatric medical repatriation mission possible.
While we cannot guarantee financial assistance or free transport, we promise to treat every enquiry involving a child with compassion, honesty, and care.
If You’re Facing a Crisis and Need Help
Even where we cannot directly provide a pro-bono solution, we will always try to offer guidance. Many families have successfully raised urgent repatriation funds through community support and charitable fundraising. Here are a few approaches we’ve seen work well:
- Start a GoFundMe campaign – Crowdfunding platforms are widely used to raise emergency medical transport costs. Share your story honestly, include photos where appropriate, and be transparent about the costs involved.
- Share on social media – Friends, relatives, schools, workplaces, neighbours, and local community groups can all help spread awareness quickly.
- Contact local newspapers or radio – Regional media outlets are often willing to highlight urgent family cases, helping increase visibility and support.
- Coordinate through a charity – Certain charities may help with paediatric repatriation or emergency health support. We can signpost suitable organisations where appropriate.
