Website SkyCare Repatriation LTD

Join the SkyCare Repatriation Flight Crew

SkyCare Repatriation, based at London Biggin Hill Airport, provides air ambulance and international medical repatriation services. We operate a Pilatus PC-12 NGX aircraft across Europe, supporting unwell patients who have become poorly far from home.

Whether we’re bringing someone safely back to the UK or transferring a VIP client from Monaco to Milan, our work is meaningful, time-sensitive, and includes babies, children, and adults alike. No two days are the same — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Our crew aren’t just pilots — you become part of our family. We support each other just as much as we support our patients.

Role Description

We’re looking for experienced Pilatus PC-12 NGX-rated Captains to join our specialist repatriation flight team. This is a full-time, London-based position, with operations often launched at short notice to various European destinations — some of which may involve an overnight stay (and the occasional dodgy hotel pillow).

You’ll work alongside our incredible Flight Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, and Operations team to deliver safe, compassionate air transport for patients and their loved ones. Quick thinking, clear communication, and a sense of humour under pressure are essential — especially when the coffee machine breaks mid-shift.

What We’re Looking For

  • What We’re Looking For

    • UK CAA-issued CPL(A) or ATPL (A) with ATPL Theoretical Knowledge completed, or an appropriately validated ICAO equivalent
    • Class 1 Medical Certificate
    • Valid Single Pilot and Multi Pilot Class/Type Rating with current LPC and Instrument Rating (IR)
    • A minimum of 1,500 hours total flying time
    • At least 400 hours PIC experience, including 100 hours IFR (or acceptable multi-pilot crew equivalent as per FCL provisions)
    • A minimum of 40 hours multi-engine flight time
    • Based in or near London, ideally within 60 minutes of Biggin Hill Airport
    • Flexible and willing to operate short-notice missions within a single-pilot environment
    • A calm, adaptable team player with strong situational awareness and problem-solving ability
    • Clear and fluent English communication, both spoken and written
    • A valid UK driving licence
    • Ability to pass all airport security requirements (including a criminal record check)
    • No restrictions on international travel or visas for operational duties
    • Willing to work a 7-on / 7-off rotation, with occasional additional duty days where FTLs permit
    • A compassionate, patient-focused approach, able to liaise professionally with crew, clients, and clinical teams

    Package

    • Basic – £65,000
    • Plus Flight Pay
    • Company Pension Scheme
    • Training Provided subject to Training Fees Agreement

    Your Responsibilities

Once trained and signed off, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every mission is flown safely, smoothly, and with care. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Taking full responsibility for the safe operation, loading, and flight of the aircraft, including the safety of patients, medical crew, and any accompanying passengers
    • Adhering to all operational procedures and checklists as outlined in our Operations Manual
    • Staying current and compliant with UK and international aviation regulations, as well as standard air ambulance best practices
    • Maintaining a professional standard of conduct, discipline, and appearance at all times — you represent SkyCare from wheels up to wheels down
    • Supporting wider operations with training and administrative tasks when required — we’re a small, close-knit team and everyone helps out

    Why SkyCare?

    • Fly meaningful missions that genuinely make a difference
    • Base yourself at London Biggin Hill Airport – fast, efficient, and well-connected
    • Enjoy ongoing training and support – we keep our pilots sharp, safe, and certified
    • Receive a competitive package with regular simulator training
    • Gain stories worth telling (and coffee that’s occasionally hot!)
